A 300 GHz CMOS Transmitter Front-End for Ultrahigh-Speed Wireless Communications
This paper presents a 300 GHz transmitter front-end suitable for ultrahigh-speed wireless communications. The transmitter front-end realized in TSMC 40 nm CMOS consists of a common-source (CS) based doubler driven by a two-way D-band power amplifier (PA). Simulation results show that the two-way D-band PA obtains a peak gain of 21.6 dB over a -3 dB bandwidth from 132 GHz to 159 GHz. It exhibits...
متن کاملA 2.4-GHz 22-Mbps CMOS OOK transmitter for wireless body area network
A 2.4-GHz CMOS on-off keying (OOK) transmitter is developed for applications that require high data rate over 10Mbps in the area of wireless body area network (WBAN) and medical implant communication service (MICS). A novel analog pulse-shaping circuit for reducing power consumption and circuit complexity is employed for the OOK transmitter. Fabricated in 0.13μm CMOS, the transmitter core exclu...
متن کاملA Low-Power 2.4-GHz Transmitter/Receiver CMOS IC
A 2.4-GHz CMOS receiver/transmitter incorporates circuit stacking and noninvasive baseband filtering to achieve a high sensitivity with low power dissipation. Using a single 1.6-GHz local oscillator, the transceiver employs two upconversion and downconversion stages while providing on-chip image rejection filtering. Realized in a 0.25m digital CMOS technology, the receiver exhibits a noise figu...
متن کاملDesign of a 2.4 GHz BAW-based CMOS Transmitter
In recent years, bulk acoustic wave resonators (BAW) in combination with RF circuits have shown a big potential in achieving the low-power consumption and miniaturization level required to address wireless sensor nodes (WSN) applications. A lot of work has been focused on the receiver side, by integrating BAW resonators with low noise amplifiers (LNA) and in frequency synthesis with the design ...
متن کاملA 2.4-GHz CMOS Receiver for IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN’s
This paper describes a radio-frequency receiver targeting spread-spectrum wireless local-area-network applications in the 2.4-GHz band. Based on a direct-conversion architecture, the receiver employs partial channel selection filtering, dc offset removal, and baseband amplification. Fabricated in a 0.6m CMOS technology, the receiver achieves a noise figure of 8.3 dB, IP3 of 9 dBm, IP 2 of +22 d...
